European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs asserts that cryptocurrency can be used as an alternative to money, according to this report, focused on the competition issues in the Area of Financial technology. According to it, cryptocurrencies can be used as alternative money.
“Digital currencies, also known as ‘virtual currencies’ or ‘cryptocurrencies’ can be defined as ‘a digital representation of value, not issued by a central bank, credit institution or e-money institution, which in some circumstances can be used as an alternative to money.
Their value is determined by the law of supply and demand, relying on potential exchanges for other goods or sovereign currencies, and it is not backed by any monetary authority (decentralised character). The supply (creation of new units) is often managed by computer algorithms, which help to create scarcity to maintain value. The common feature of the various digital currencies is the use of DLTs to manage value exchanges. Digital currencies management encompasses services such as cryptocurrency payments, cryptocurrency wallets, exchange and trading solutions for cryptocurrencies (cryptocurrency brokerage) and mining.”
The report also states that Central Banks might issue their own cryptocurrencies:“The arrival of permissioned cryptocurrencies promoted by banks, even by central banks, will reshape the current competition level in the inter-cryptocurrency market, broadening the number of competitors. A potential inadequacy of traditional competition policy to address competition issues in the cryptocurrency markets can be found, suggesting direct public participation through a central-bank digital currency as a remedy.”
Litecoin has experiecned a mild price drop of 0.55% over the past 24 hours. The cryptocurrency currently trades around $84 and has been relatively stable over the past 7 trading days only dropping 0.05%.
Litecoin currently sits 7th position in terms of overall market cap across the entire industry. It has a total market cap value of $4.81 billion and has seen a small price hike of 1.52% over the past 30 trading days.
The cryptocurrency was created in October 2011 by ex google employee Charlie Lee. Lee intended to create a competitor to Bitcoin that was a “lighter” version, hence the name. Litecoin can claim faster transaction speeds and lower transaction fees that that of Bitcoin.
Litecoin can also claim that it has far superior technology relative to Bitcoin, as it already has SegWit and the Lightning Network integrated. More so, Litecoin has already participated in “Atomic Swaps” allowing users to exchange Litecoin for other cryptocurrencies on the blockchain without the need for a third party exchange.
The increased transaction speed, low fees and the ability to handle high transaction volumes positions Litecoin as a strong alternative and competitor to Bitcoin.
However, there has been some speculation regarding Charlie Lee’s impact on the market price for Litecoin as 1 day after the cryptocurrency hit its all time high, Charlie Lee decided to sell his entire stash of Litecoin citing that holding LTC causes a conflict of interest for him. Lee has recently also tweeted claiming that he is doing everything in his power to get Litecoin back above $400, however, as described in the below analysis, the market needs to overcome a significant hurdle around $100.
Let us continue to analyse price action over the long term.
LTC/USD - LONG TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market from the long term perspective above, we can see that LTC had experienced an incredible bullish run when it rose from a low of $49 on November 2nd 2017 and extended to an all time high located at $370 on December 19th 2017. This was an epic price increase of close to 700% from low to high.
After placing the all time high, price action went on to depreciate significantly. Co-incidentally the day after December 19th, Lee tweeted that he had sold his entire stash of coins and the following capitulation is evident.
The market, largely, stayed above the .786 FIbonacci Retracement priced at $118 for the majority of the year. This is a Fibonacci Retracement measured from the entire bullish run described above. We can see that this price level provided support in February, March, April and May. However, as June started trading price action fell below the .786 Fibonacci Retracement and continued falling until it found support just below the .886 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $86. We can see that price action had found support at a downside 1.272 Fibonacci Extension priced at $73. In fact, this area of support is bolstered by two downside Fibonacci Extensions measured at different price levels.
If the bearish momentum within the market does push price action lower we can expect this $73 handle to provide ample support. However, if the market continues further lower then near term support can be located at $53 which is the short term downside 1.414 Fibonacci Extension.
Let us continue to analyse price action over the more recent term to highlight any further support or resistance areas.
LTC/USD - SHORT TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market from a shorter time perspective we can see that LTC had experienced a small price appreciation during April when price action rose from a low around $116 and one to a high close to $180. However, as May began trading we saw the market drop below the 100 day moving average and consequently continued to drop far below Aprils price low.
We can see that the downside 1.272 Fibonacci Extension (red line) priced at $73 provided ample support for the market to rebound. The market made a slight bullish run but found resistance at the bearish .382 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $94. This Fibonacci Retracement is taken from the entire bearish trend seen during June.
If the bullish momentum within the market can pick up once again and push the market above $86, then we can expect near term resistance to be located at the bearish .382 Fibonacci Retracement again. If the market can continue further above this we expect the nearest level of significant resistance to be located at the bearish .618 Fibonacci Retracement level priced at $108. This area of resistance is significantly bolstered by the 100 day moving average, currently hovering at the exact same price level, meaning the market will need significant bullish momentum to overcome this level.
The technical indicators within the market are neither providing favour toward the bulls or the bears at this current moment in time. The RSI is currently trading directly on the 50 handle and shows no indication to which way it wishes to next trade. If the RSI can break and hold above the 50 handle we can expect the bullish momentum to build within the market.
Similarly, the moving averages are trading in a sideways manner producing neutral signals. The 7 day EMA (blue moving average) and the 21 day EMA (purple moving average) are currently trading on top of one another. If the 7 day EMA can break above the 21 day EMA this would constitute to a bullish crossover indicating an increase in bullish pressure within the market.
CONCLUSION
Due to its age, technology and community, Litecoin is a solid coin with a solid background, even with the recent controversy surrounding the founder selling his coins at the all time high.
However, before we can reach the expected $400 handle stated by Charlie Lee recently, the market first must overcome some serious resistance levels, particularly the $100 level.
Dash has experienced a price drop of 3.28% over the past 24 hours of trading. The crypto giant is currently trading at $246 and has enjoyed a price increase of 113.08% over the past 7 trading days.
Dash was created by Evan Duffield in January 2014 and was intended to be a solution to the scalability problems provided by Bitcoin. Dash stands for Digital Cash and was rebranded from Dark coin in 2015.
The Dash network has significant improvements to the Bitcoin protocol. It can boast a 2.5 minute block time compared with Bitcoins 10 minute blocktime as well as allowing features such as PrivateSend, which allows users to send funds privately across the Dash blockchain, and InstantSend which allows users to send funds instantly at the push of a click. The Private and Instant Send functions are handled by operators of Masternodes in the Dash network. Masternodes require users to lock up 1000 DASH as the masternode helps process Dash transactions and secure the network.
More importantly, Dash can claim transaction fees considerably lower than Bitcoin. On the 19th of July, Dash conducted a stress test on their network. It was recorded that Dash had processed 591K transactions in a period of 24 hours and the transaction fee remained stable at $0.0005. More so, the users of the Dash network didn’t even notice there was a stress test in progress highlighting the ability of Dash to seriously negate the scalability issues surrounding Bitcoin.
Dash his currently ranked in 14th position in terms of overall market cap across the entire industry. The crypto giant currently has a market cap value of $2.05 billion. This is a significant $2.22 billion lower than the market cap high of $4.27 billion witnessed on April 24th 2018, as indicated by the graph below. Dash has witnessed a small price drop of 4% over the past 30 trading days.
Let us continue to analyse price action over the long term for Dash.
DASH/USD - LONG TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market over the long term, we can see that Dash had experienced a significant price increase during 2017 when the market rose from a low of $52.53 on the 2nd of April 2017 and continued to rise all the way up to an all time price high of $1596 witnessed on the 20th of December 2017. This was an impeccible price increase of 3500% from low to high.
After placing the market all tim high, price action went on depreciate initially finding support at .786 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $370 in February. The Fibonacci Retracement is taken from the entire epic bullish run described above. It is also important to highlight that the market had also broke below the 100 day moving average in February and has never since beeen able to break back above.
The market continued to fall below the .786 Fibonacci Retracement during May and continued to fall until it found support at the .886 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $215.34 during June. It is also beneficial to point out that during March, the market had found considerable support at the downside 1.414 Fibonacci Extension priced at $287.66. This extension level may provide significant resistance in the future, it is measured from the initial bearish swing leg seen after the market placed its all time high.
Let us continue to analyse the market at a shorter time frame to highlight any potential support and resistance areas.
DASH/USD - SHORT TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market from the benefit of a closer perspective, we can see that Dash had experienced another, smaller, bullish run during April when price action started from a low of $268 on the 1st of April and rose to a high of $572 24 days later on the 24th of April. This was a price increase of 110% from low to high.
The market, however, was not able to benefit from this price run for very long as it rolled over and fell below the initial starting value of this price run in June. Price action continued to fall until it found support at the .886 Fibonacci Extension priced at $215 where it found some significant support.
Over the past 24 hours, the market has found resistance, once again, at the 1.414 Fibonacci Extension level. If the bullish momentum can continue and break above the 1.414 Fibonacci Extensionnear term resistance is expected at the 100 day moving average which is currently hovering around the $325 handle.
If bullish momentum can push price action even higher, the nearest level of resistance is located at short term bearish Fibonacci Retracement priced at $347.99. This is a bearish Fibonacci Retracement taken from the high seen April to the recent low experienced in July. Further resistance beyond this level is expected at the downside .618 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $433.
Alternatively, if the bearish momentum seen over the past 24 hours continues, we can expect near term support to come in at the .886 Fibonacci Retracement level priced at $215.
The technical indicators are currently showing favour toward the bulls, although the interpretation could be ruled as neutral. The RSI is currently trading just slightly above the 50 handle after trading near overbought conditions at 80. If the RSI can remain above this level then we can expect the bullish momentum to continue.
Similarly the moving averages are showing favour toward the bulls in the market. The 7 day EMA (blue line) has recently crossed up above the 21 day moving average (purple line) in a bullish crossover. This crossover should signal the initiation of a considerable bullish trend. However, due to the recent bearish momentum seen over th past 24 hours, teh 7 day EMA has once again turned back toward the 21 day EMA and is poised to break back below. If the 7 day EMA does break below the 21 day EMA then this would signal that the bearish momentum within the market is still in control.
Stellar coin has enjoyed a 24 hour price increase of 5.79%. The cryptocurrency giant currently trades at a price of $0.2320 after a 10.35% price hike over the past 7 trading days.
Stellar, XLM, was created in 2014 when the founder Jeb McCaleb forked Ripple to create Stellar Lumens. Stellar was intended to enable low cost interbank transactions across countries in less than 5 seconds. It is created to connect individuals, institutions and payment systems to create an integrated finance platform. Stellar has the long term vision to expand financial access worldwide.
Stellar has had a wave of publicity from exchanges announcing the addition of XLM to their platforms. Coinbase has recently announced that they were exploring the addition of Stellar to their platform, causing price to increase by over 15% on the announcement. Along with Coinbase, the global remittance company Tempo Money Transfer has partnered with Stellar to allow users to send funds to anyone in the Philippines using just a name and telephone number via their integration with Coins.ph.
Stellar is currently ranked in 7th place in terms of overall market cap across the entire industry, with a total market cap value of $4.35 billion. This is a significant $4.19 billion lower than the market cap high witnessed on April 24th 2018 with a total value of $8.54 billion, as shown in the diagram below.

XLM/USD - LONG TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market from the long term perspective above, we can see that Stellar had experienced a price increase of over 2350% when the market rose from a low of $0.0208 on the 5th of November 2017 to an all time high of $0.9823 placed on the 4th of January 2018.
After placing this all time high, understandably, the market began to fall. Price action originally fell to support at the .618 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $0.40 during January. This is a Fibonacci Retracement of the entire bullish run described above.
The market continued falling throughout the year until reaching a yearly low price of $0.1516 in March 2018. This level is supported by the .886 Fibonacci Retracement level at the same price.
Since mid-June, the market has been trapped within a range bound market condition between the boundaries of the .886 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $0.1516 and the .786 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $0.2452. The market has also been trading under the 100 day moving average for over two months.
Let us continue to analyse price action over the more recent period to highlight any potential support or resistance areas.
XLM/USD - SHORT TERM - DAILY CHART
Analysing the market over a shorter time period, we can see that Stellar had experienced another bullish run during April when price action rose from a low of $0.1679 on the 30th of March 2018 to a high of $0.4723 experienced on the 3rd of May. This was a price increase of over 180% from low to high.
During May the market began to fall, originally finding support at the short term .50 Fibonacci Retracement level priced at $0.32. However, the market pushed the market lower, pushing price action below the 100 day moving average and toward the .618 FIbonacci Retracement level priced at $0.2844.
The market continued on lower during June as price action fell lower only eventually completing a 100% Fibonacci Retracement to the initial base price seen on the 30th of Match priced at $0.169. It is also important to highlight that this area of support is also bolstered by a downside 1.618 Fibonacci Extension. This is a Fibonacci Extension measured from the high seen on May 3rd to the low seen on the 11th of May.
Price action is currently trading at resistance located at the short term .786 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $0.2341. This resistance level also correlates with the 1.272 FIbonacci Extension level priced in the same area. If the market can overcome this strong area of resistance then the nearest level of further resistance will be located at the 100 day moving average which is currently hovering around the $0.26 handle.
If the bulls can push the market eventually above the 100 day moving average then further near term resistance can be located at the .618 FIbonacci Retracement priced at $0.2844 followed by the .50 Fibonacci Retracement priced at $0.32. If the market can overcome $0.32 then it will be placing fresh 2 month highs.
Alternatively, if the bears step back into the market and push price action lower then immediate support can be expected at the .886 Fibonacci Retracement level priced at $0.20. This area should provide ample support but if the bears manage to push prices lower, further support can be located at the downside 1.618 Fibonacci Extension level priced at $0.169.
The technical indicators are currently leaning toward the favour of the bulls at this moment in time. The RSI indicator is currently trading well above the 50 handle indicating the increased momentum recently witnessed over the passed trading week. If the RSI can continue to stay above the 50 handle, we can expect the bullish momentum to continue within the market.
Similarly, the moving average indicators are showing promising favour toward the bulls in the market. Over the past trading session, the 7 day EMA (blue line) has crossed above the 21 day EMA (purple line) indicating a bullish crossover. If these moving averages can continue to diverge away from one another this will indicate that the bullish trend is increasing in momentum.
CONCLUSION
Stellar has had a rich history of development and partnership announcements. The recent announcement from Coinbase exploring the addition of Lumens will certainly increase the accessibility of Stellar to the mainstream audience that are signed up to the platform and help increase the awareness of the cryptocurrency gem.

THE SOLUTION
LENDSBAY's solution makes it possible to borrow money very quickly and easily—concluding an agreement in accordance with the laws of a particular country if necessary—to look for investors or borrowers from your own social circles or just to keep track of your debts, while also making it possible to have your accumulated positive credit history in Lendsbay taken into account when obtaining future loans: in case you move to another country or apply for a bank loan.
The Lendsbay application was designed for interaction between users. One of the main purposes of the application is to streamline and secure the informal financial market, as well as to simplify the procedure for finding partners and completing transactions. This is what its main functionality was designed for, which includes: simple and easy-to-understand debt management , notification of current and upcoming events (payments), user-friendly search function for borrowers/lenders, a tool for assessing the borrower's level of risk, the creation of social groups (bays), loans in bays (co-workers, friends, classmates), a blockchain-based credit history, preparation of court documents in the event that a borrower refuses to repay their loan, the work of bailiffs for court-ordered debt collection and resale of distressed debt to third parties or collectors.
